INVITATION
This is your invitation to become a Friend of Rotary - a program which allows individuals, businesses and community organisations to team up with your local Northbridge Rotary Club and participate in the club’s activities, without the responsibility or cost of full membership.
Participation would allow you to attend meetings, hear talks of general interest and help with the club’s local service activities. This could involve you volunteering hands-on help with community and fundraising events, and generally contributing your experience and skills. Our fundraising includes our annual community fireworks display on Northbridge Oval in May each year, barbeques at various locations and golf days.
Were you to become a Friend of Northbridge Rotary you would receive email invitations to meetings with speakers of interest and to the club’s activities and community events.
THE PEOPLE WE SUPPORT
We support homeless and at-risk youth locally including organizations like Streetwork and Taldumande; we hold an annual seniors’ lunch; and we fund survival equipment to disaster areas. Our club takes people with disabilities sailing on Middle Harbour; we fund school programs in Fiji and East Timor; and contribute to Rotary’s international polio eradication program. Our club members work hard for the community but we also enjoy ourselves through weekly dinner meetings (often with a guest speaker), social events and trips.
