Toast
Ros Virtue gave a toast to the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, Thailand. The club is approximately 3 hours from Bangkok and meets weekly at Amari Spa resort. Chartered on 12 April 2010, the president is Brian Anderson and the meetings are held in English. Their theme for March is water and sanitation. Club news includes a donation of a generator to a Buddhist nun who assists sick dogs and cats in the locality; children’s play equipment for the Panyanakul school and a campaign to reduce plastic waste. Some of their funds raised in 2018 was used for a reforestation program at Pranburi National Park, a Ryla sponsored leadership program and supplying equipment to hospitals including blood filtration, nerve stimulator machine and other equipment, amongst many other projects.

Valda Andrews asked members to think about who within the club might be worthy of a Paul Harris fellowship. She will be sending an email to all club members, but if you have anyone in mind, please let her know. Valda also spoke about the Centurion program.
Alan Hession asked again for the names of any potential sponsors for the Fireworks. Please let him know if you have any suggestions. He has sponsorship information documents which he can email to you to hand to any likely sponsors. We have a good number of sponsors already but more are required.
Rob Coote is chasing raffle prizes for the Fireworks and asked for any contacts to be notified to him.

Peter Grinter spoke about the Rostrum Voice of Youth which will be held on Wednesday, 3 April at Ascham School. Whilst there are plenty of volunteers to help, more can be accommodated so please let Peter know if you are interested in attending.
