Senior Constable Jenni Brown is Crime Prevention Officer - Harbourside Local Area Command.

She has worked at North Sydney Police in general duties since May 2008 and in May 2017 moved to the role of Crime Prevention Officer.

Identity crime is the fastest growing crime worldwide. 1.2 million Australian’s 15 years or older have been victims of at least 1 identity fraud incident. Recent estimates by the Attorney-General’s Department indicate that identity crime costs Australia upwards of $1.6 billion each year, with the majority (around $900m) lost by individuals through credit card fraud, identity theft and scams. Jenni will discuss identity theft and mail theft and will cover what identity fraud is and how it happens to people and steps to prevent mail & identity theft.
