Rotary Northbridge will again be positioning a “Tree of Joy” at Northbridge Plaza and other businesses in our local area this holiday season.

Since 1991, Northbridge Plaza and its shop owners, Northbridge residents and customers, and Northbridge Rotary have combined to make the holiday season just a little bit better by placing gifts for children in need under a Rotary Tree at Northbridge Plaza.

Over that time, it’s estimated around 20,000 gifts have been donated and distributed via several charity groups, including most recently The Starlight Foundation and the Narung Maru Aboriginal Community.

In 2024, our program has expanded to accomodate local businesses previously supported by the Rotary Club of North Sydney and charities who accept gifts for adults in need, including the Bill Crews Foundation, The Salvation Army, the Wayside Chapel and Wesley Mission.

Our wonderful community are again encouraged to take a tag from a tree, buy a gift to match and then leave both for collection.  Gifts should be new and factory-packed and should not be gift-wrapped (so they can be sorted and delivered to the most appropriate recipient).  Perishables will not be accepted.
